Hyderabad: K.T. Rama Rao, IT and Panchayat raj minister visited the intake well at Ellur near Kollapur in Mahbunagar district with an amount of 25,000 crore mega Telangana water grid project. The grid’s take off point to provide Krishna drinking water to the three district of Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda dist part of 26 grids by 2018 to 2019.
On Wednesday, Mr.Rao will visits to Warangal and Khammam to next day. And Mr.Rama Rao scorned fears expressed by BJP leader on the issue of supply of drinking water to three districts from Mahbubnagar would affect irrigation needs of the district.
He said “These allegations are wrong and 10% of water from irrigation sources has been earmarked for drinking water needs of the people. Drinking water is always top priority compared to other needs. And the officials will visit Ellur reservoir.” And he added “We will invite tenders from the month end .As per CM’s vision and Siddipet experiment; we will ensure drinking water to every home. Nearly 13 TMC of water will be lifted from from it.”
Mr.Rao handed over 74 new police vehicles to each of the police station in the district at Mahbubnagar. He added “You know better what the image of police and politician is are striving to ensure a positive image of the police .I wish the state police is No 1 in the country and we are striving to provide the required men and material”.
