For the Telangana government there is only nine acres of undisputed land is available in the Hyderabad to auction and raise funds. The district collector and tahsildars identified another 40 acres of land, are stuck in legal disputes and cannot be sold right away.
On March 11, the government wants to make a provision in the coming Budget, to raise money by selling land. In last November the budget presented that the government had proposed to raise Rs 6,000 crore by selling land but found nothing that it could auction immediately.
The revenue department asked by Govt to identify prime land in the city which can attract buyers and guarantee huge revenues. The Hyderabad collectorate identified prime properties and submitted a list to the government.
