Over 20,000 people administered fish medicine in Hyderabad

Over-20,000-people-administNearly 20,000 people have been administered the fish medicine since morning at the sprawling Exhibition Grounds in Nampally area of Hyderabad. The family of Bathini Haranath Goud have been providing this ‘fish prasadam’ for decades together. The medicine is being reportedly stuffed with a herbal paste  which is believed to be a cure for asthma and other breathing ailments.

Asthma patients across the country and from Telangana districts have reached here to get the medicine , although doctors dismissed it as a ‘mere belief of people that they would be cured by its consumption’. Medicine is served on first come first served basis.

Extensive arrangements have been made at the venue to facilitate the patients who have arrived from across the country.

Hyderabad district officials had set up makeshift sheds for the visitors to stay in case there is rain.
