Pak ceasefire violations escalate: Tunnel discovered, 2 civilians killed

kashmir troops

Pakistan has violated the ceasefire conditions 14 times  in the last 12 days. Recent violations have targeted as many as 22 BSF posts in Arnia and RS Pura sector along the border, with firing causing the death of two civilians at least, as per Army sources. Raising the alarm to a new pitch, a 50 meters  tunnel has also been discovered through the border fence from the Pakistani side to the Indian territory Pallanwala sector in Akhnoor in Jammu & Kashmir. This is only the second time that such a tunnel from Pakistani side to Indian side has been discovered. The increased violence is causing significant worries amidst the recent secretary level talks call off and also the prolonged political tensions in Pakistan. It has been a long practice of Pakistan to divert their public from any internal trouble by resurrecting the feud with India.
