Pak chief justice to skip conf in India

justice-anwar-zaheer-jamaliAs tensions mounting at the borders between India and Pakistan, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali decided not to attend a global conference scheduled to be held in India from Oct 21-23. No official statement was issued or any reason was given for his decision, according to Pakistani daily, The Dawn.

He was invited by his Indian counterpart to attend the conference on a national initiative towards strengthening arbitration and enforcement in India. The Indian High Commissioner, Gautam Bambawale had personally extended the invitation to Justice Jamali.
