Union Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is on an official tour of United States, said in New York that Pakistan ‘spoilt the game’ by initiating talks with the separatist activists of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sushma Swaraj held a meeting with the foreign ministers of Brazil and South Africa on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly Session. While speaking to the media persons after the meeting, she said, “The new government has given a new signal. So they spoilt the talks, they spoilt the game”.
Earlier, Pakistan’s National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz had asserted that Pakistan would not make the first move now and the ball is in the court of India.
“They had suspended talks so talks will happen if they take the initiative. There were no violations…it has been normal practice for the past 20 years. It was an overreaction”, said Aziz.
