Pakistani Forces Again Fired in Poonch District, Yesterday

Pakistani-ForcesPakistani forces firedfrom 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm yesterday night, across the International Border in Poonch district of J&K.

The IB and LoC in Jammu region have witnessed heavy firing and mortar shelling by Pakistani troops since October. This resulted in the death of eight persons and94 were injured, including 13 security men.

Indian government hasstated that, its forces will “continue to respond appropriately”to firing by Pakistan along the border. It also demanded that, Islamabad should take immediate steps to restore peace along the IBand LoC in J&K.

The residents of villages close to the border in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts have been shifted to 30 relief camps which were set up at safer places.
