Patna Stampede: Surprise visit to hospital shocks Jitan Ram Manjhi

Patna-Stamped33 people died and 28 were injured in the stampede at the Gandhi Maidan, on Friday evening soon after Dussehra celebrations. The injured were taken to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

The CM of Bihar visited Patna Hospital, where the people injured in Dussehra stampede were being treated.

Surprisingly, he found there were no doctors, dirty bed sheets and poorly maintained bathrooms,which made him angry.

He said that the conditions at PMCH were unsatisfactory and we will take necessary action regarding this issue.

CM talked to the victims and came to know the facts that the doctors were not on duty and 90% of the prescribed medicines were not available.

The chief minister visited the surgical, urology and orthopedic wards and came to know that there were patients who had been there for 45 days but doctors haven’t begun any treatment yet.
