The LPG consumers who have already linked their LPG connection with Aadhaar and bank account will get their subsidy amount through banks as the Modified Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG will come into vogue from November 15 in the state.
The Consumers who do not perceive Aadhaar cards would also benefit from the scheme by providing their bank account details to LPG retailers. An officials’ meeting, chaired by C Parathasaradhi, Civil Supplies Commissioner, was held in Hyderabad on Thursday to make final arrangements for resuming the scheme.
In Hyderabad, consumers have to purchase LPG cylinder at Rs. 925 without subsidy, Rs. 508 of which will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the customers, as subsidy.
The two-terms of three months grace period will be provided to other customers to receive LPG at subsidised rates, first till February 14, 2015 and second till May 14, 2015.
