PM lays stone for AP capital

3Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for the new capital city after conducting the stipulated ‘purnahuthi’ today as per the Hindu tradition as scheduled by the pandits in the presence of Governor Narasimhan, Telugu CMs KCR and  Chandrababu, Central ministers, Balakrishna and foreign dignitaries. After the stone was
laid, the PM unveiled a plaque and heads of all religions offered prayers. Earlier, the PM was given a warm welcome at the Gannavaram airport by Governor Narasimhan, Telugu CMs and Central minister Venkiah Naidu. The PM also spent some time with Lokesh’s son Devansh. Later, Modi visited 3-D show at the premises and had a photo session
with Naidu’s family members. Ambassadors of 12 countries, foreign and Indian VIPs, industrialists, film personalities among others attended the programme and 33,000 farmers who gave away their land were seated in the front row. The Sivamani drums show was another highlight. Security was beefed up with 14,000 cops under the supervision of 12 IPS officers. Later, Andhra food was served to all the invitees.
