PM’s plea to Gujaratis

unnamedPrime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the atmosphere that was building up in the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel and the manner in which violence is being used as a tool. Modi asked people to resolve the issues through peaceful talks and uphold the spirit of democracy. He requested brothers and sisters of Gujarat to shun violence. “We all know that violence serves no purpose. We have always believed that the development of the state is possible only if we all walk together and stay united. It is my appeal for a single mantra – “peace”. We must solve problems through talks and contribute to take Gujarat to new heights”, he said. Tension mounted as violence reached its peak in Gujarat as Patidar Anamth Andolan Samithy began stir demanding reservations.
