Pocharam Srinivas Reddy the Agriculture Minister of Telangana stated that the Cabinet sub-committee which is appointed on farm loan waiver would give clarity on guidelines in the next two to three days. The report should be submitted earlier than the stipulated time i.e., September 30 to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. At Dr Marri Chenna Reddy HRD Institute in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday a meeting was held in this connection. The members of the committee consisting of chairman Pocharam, Ministers T Harish Rao, Etela Rajender discussed about RBI’s non-inclination and bankers’ reservations in rescheduling of loans in 10 districts and alternatives before the government.
After the meeting the Agriculture Minister Pocharam said to the media that, they received information of beneficiaries from various districts and were examining all options before the government.
He also pointed out that loan waiver would be applicable to farmers who took loans for agricultural investment from urban banks.
