West Bengal police have arrived in Hyderabad and started questioning the top officials of IVRCL, the engineering giant which has constructed the ill-fated flyover bridge in Kolkata that collapsed on Friday afternoon. They raided the headquarters of the company and questioned the modus operandi of the construction and perused some documents, it is reliably learnt.
Meanwhile, the death toll has reached 27 after two more bodies retrieved from the debris. Union Home minister Rajnath Singh has reached Kokata and visited the place of tragedy. He said 10 teams from NDRF have been working overnight to rescue the people. RSS volunteers are also participating in the operations.
