Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police had monitoring the operation smile program from Jan 1 to 31 and the rescue operation would be continued by child welfare officers to bring awareness campaigns to educate parents and institutions in child safety. They also took steps to track, locate, rescue and rehabilitate children to subject the abuse, exploitation and employed as child labourers. And 11 Task force teams were formed and trained on the plan action by DCP Malkajgiri on jan 2.000
And 43 sub-inspectors as child welfare officers in each police station to assist the task force in tracing the missing children and rescue the children found abandoned Rajeshwari IPS appointed the nodal officer for the operation
Whereas, 200 children were indentified and handed over to child welfare committee, which inturn referred to shelter homes till their parents were traced. They may found on foot path as begging, rag-picking and other activities. And also facing problems of sexual exploitation and struggling for livelihood. They also provide a link like www.trackthemissingchild.gov.in and trafficking especially the ones who force children into begging and other activities in public places.
