Poor Maintenance of Buses leads Accidents

rtcHyderabad: Poor maintenance of city buses and the absence of doors and electric display will result in the accidents.

According to the latest data, 170 injuries due to bus accidents were recorded by traffic cops, minor injuries occur every day due to poor maintenance.

An official said, “This has also led to minor boarding and getting down as passengers try to get in while others try to get out in a hurry”

According to the latest data of the Hyderabad Traffic police, RTC buses were involved in 248 accidents in 2014. Of these, 170 were accidents resulting in injuries.

The officials admit that footboard travelling is widespread and that 60 % of bus related accidents happen to off buses.
