Poor will enter flats on Nov 16: CM

kcrCM KCR will facilitate the poor beneficiaries to enter their new double bed room flats in Secunderabad on November 16, as he has decided to formally declare open the homes as per his election assurances. In all, 396 double bed rooms in 33 blocks in G plus 2 system were constructed in IDH colony for 276 SCs, 31 STs, 70 weaker sections and 10 minorities. Rs 1.16 crore for roads, Rs 56 lakhs for rain water outlets, Rs 75 lakhs for drainage, Rs 62 lakhs for drinking water, Rs 72 lakhs for power, Rs 50 lakhs for shops, Rs 30 lakhs for
vegetable market, parks and Rs 60 lakhs for other amenities was allocated. Government said that Rs 7.90 lakhs was spent for each flat in IDH colony due to cost escalation while each flat costs Rs 5.30 lakhs in towns and Rs 4.04 lakhs in villages.
