Power fight of farmers: Police lathicharge, Two officials Suspended

Farmers of Telangana triggered a massive protest against the KCR government on the incessant power cuts in the region. A huge agitation erupted in Narsangi of Medak district where thousands of farmers thronged to roads raising anti-KCR slogans and burning his effigies while trying to stage a Dharna.

In order to disperse the angered farmers, the police carried a wild laticharge on them. The farmers are raising their voice against the incessant power cuts which is preventing them from organizing the crops well. Reacting to this CM KCR directed the Medak district collector to supply 6 hours continuous power for agricultural uses.CM also given orders to take charge on two officers along with Transco AE Penchu Nayak for the suspension of reckless action on power supply.

As a reaction to the farmers agitation on power cut Congress leaders reacted to on the incident . PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah wrote a letter to CM by saying to supply the power without interruption. Congress leader Shabbir Ali also appealed the government to take immediate action on the issue.
