Power Plant Should be Shifted from Prone Site

apThe AP’s 4000 MW power plant is Tsunami prone site as suggested by officials. Ministry of environment and forests department suggested NTPC to shift the location from present location to some other as it is Tsunami prone area in Visakhapatnam. These areas are ecologically sensitive. The location chosen for Pudimadaka Super Thermal Power project is Tsunami prone as per the report .They have submitted the report to NTPC asking it to shift the site with the state government.

Government granted 1200 acres of land on lease for 33 years to NTPC for 4000 MW power plant in Visakhapatnam. And total investment of this project is 20,000 crore. NTPC promised to complete the power plant by March 2019 and it going to be the biggest power plant in AP.
