Power supply stopped from AP: KCR letter to central government

kcr4Interruption in power supply from AP led to huge power cuts in telangana. Power generation is interrupted in a unit of Vijayawada thermal power station. Due to this telangana lost 500 MW. Added to this 210 MW of power supply is stopped to TG, due to interruption in RTPS, Kadapa. Shortage of Coal storage is reason for interruption in the power supply, said Officials from AP government.
T-CM KCR wrote a letter to central government on this issue on Monday. “Andhra pradesh CM acting in contrast to electrical agreements. It is illegal and unethical. He stopped 710MW power suppy deliberately. Central government should order AP government to restore power generation in VTPS and RTPS” KCR mentioned in his letter.
Discussion held on power distribution problems between AP and TG failed on Monday. AP fuel secretary refused to supply power from Krishnapatnam power plant.
