Pranab inaugurates the fifth edition of Indian Aviation Expo-2016

The fifth edition of “India Aviation 2016” was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee in Hyderabad’s Begumpet airport. President witnessed the aerobatic display as part of the event. The five day event has been organised by ministry of civil aviation along with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). By 2020, India will reach the top notch in civil aviation sector, said Pranab. “ Employment opportunities are created with the expansion of the civil aviation industry in India” said the President. Pranab further told that the Civil Aviation industry has recorded a 14% growth in the past decade and there needs to be done a more research in aerospace technology. More than 200 major companies, including aircraft and helicopter makers, are taking part in the expo. Leading players associated with aviation and related businesses like Boeing, Airbus, Textron, Embraer, Gulfstream, Dassault, Agusta Westland, Bell Helicopters and Russian Helicopters are also taking part in the expo.
