Pratyusha’s boy-friend suspected, quizzed

Pratyusha-Banerjee-Rahul-SIMumbai police have started investigating into the circumstances which led Pratyusha Banerjee of Balika Vadhu fame end her life. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her flat in Mumbai. She is popular in Telugu too as the serial is being dubbed and aired with name- ‘Chinnari Pelli Kuturu’. She donned the popular character of Anandi in the serial.
Pratyusha’s parents have been suspecting her boyfriend Rahul Singh and blamed him for her death. Because of differences with him, she died, blamed her father.
Rahul SIngh is being questioned by the police. It was Rahul who informed police and Pratyush’s relatives of her death.
According to sources, no suicide note has been recovered from Pratyusha’s residence.
Pratyusha had reportedly told her friends that she had not been getting any assignments since March 2015. The actress was also having some troubles in her relationship with Rahul Singh.
The neighbours and family members of the actress have also expressed shock at the incident, many claiming that Pratyusha was not one of those who would commit suicide.
“We are all very shocked about this. Few days back only I met her and Rahul. They seemed absolutely fine, never thought anything of this kind. She seemed fine when I saw her,” said one of her neighbours.
Pratyusha’s sister Rishita has also said that it is unbelievable for her that the TV actress would have committed suicide. “I was in the tuition classes. When I came back, I saw everyone was crying at home. I cannot believe that my sister can commit suicide. She cannot do this,” she said.
Her last status message on Whatsapp read, “Marke bhi muh na tuzse modana” (even after death won’t be turning my face away from you) with a smiley.
