Actress, Kings XI Punjab co owner Preity Zinta’s harassment and abuse case on colleague, Bombay Dyeing heir Ness Wadia has finally turned a new page Tuesday with Zinta recording detailed statement in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
Zinta gave a detailed account of what transpired between her and Wadia on 30th May, the final day of IPL at Wankhede Stadium and participated in the reconstruction of the scene with Mumbai police. Zinta has reportedly show three places where scenes linked to the allegations happened that day.
“We have recorded Zinta’s statement and have also followed the procedure to establish the alleged incident at the stadium,” said Ravindra Shisve, deputy commissioner of police, zone I. Five key witnesses were reportedly named by Zinta to the events. One guy, named Jean, who is currently not in India is said to have intervened with Wadia during the altercation. The police will call him to India to record his statement. Other witnesses were Tara, a team management staff; Fraser Castellino, Kings XI CEO, one player of the team; Danish Merchant, Zinta’s neighbor who accompanied her that day; 10 other witnesses were also named by Zinta.
Ness’s father, Nusli Wadia had filed a complaint with Mumbai police that the family had received threat calls from underworld don Ravi Pujari few days after Zinta’s complaint. Preity had gone off toe US after filing complaint on Ness on the 12th of June. The police will now ask for Wadia to record his statement.
