Central Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde responded on the pending issue of governance in AP. It has been three days since the resignation of Kiran Kumar Reddy. His resignation is not approved yet. He has categorically denied to remain in the seat as the interim CM. Yesterday Seemandhra leaders Botchcha, Anam, Raghuveera, Kanna have met the Governor and reportedly asked to be given chance to form a new government. Though this news is not confirmed by anybody involved, the Governor also apparently is not in a position to take a unilateral decision on the issue. The Governor has reportedly sent a letter to the Central Government with his opinions on the issue.
Speaking to the media this morning on the issue, Shinde said “the letter from the Governor has not reached us yet. We are expecting it anytime today. We will have a consultation with our leadership and will reach a decision.” Shinde was speaking after a meeting with the UPA II Chair Person Smt. Sonia Gandhi on the issue of next steps in the Telangana road map, the exact date of Telangana declaration through a State Gazette.
