Press Council: CM’s acts violates Article 14 of the Constitution of India

cmThe Press Council of India has pointed out that the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is allegedly not allowing few media channels and newspapers to cover his press meets.

Due to the denial of permission to some news channels and dailies, the Indian Journalists Union filed a complaint with the press council on the matter. The act is nothing but violating the fundamental rights clarified the press council. The press council said, “The act of the chief minister is violating Article 14 of the Constitution of India.”

The council has appointed an enquiry committee to look into the matter. The three member enquiry committee consists of Pragnananda Choudhury, K.Amarnath and Rajiv Ranjan Nag.
