Privatization in SCCL leads to Strike

scclKhammam: Tension abounded across all the mining areas of singareni collieries company limited (sccl) on Tuesday, it’s a five –day strike protesting against the disvestment and told to press their other demands.

The trade unions like Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS), AITUC, INTUC and CITU took part in this strike. The 21 incline in yellendu were having tense moments when the employees of two trade unions joined together in support of strike, anyways police are taking steps to defuse the situation.

Conferring to the officials as many as 16,813 employees attended the first shift duties while 2,004 were on leave out of 36,229.In the second shift 4,832 workers attended the duties against 10,619,while 412 were on leave.

Mancherial (adilabad): On Tuesday, All trade unions of SCCL called for a bandh against the privatisation of SCCL along with Coal India Limited. The employees of Mandamarri, srirampur of Bellampalli region participated in the strike, nearly 27,000 employees have been working in this region apart.

The officials are worried about strive because nearly 45,000 tonnes of coal production will bring down. The police vexed up all over to avoid abrupt incidents. All the union leaders, who were in support of the strike, were arrested and taken to PS.

The workers abridge a rally from bus stand to police station to bid the police to release their leaders.
