Probe into Sectt staff coop land

VIGILANCEENQUIThe government has ordered a vigilance enquiry by a senior IAS officer Busani Venkateshwara Rao into the large-scale irregularities of the  Secretariat Employees’ Cooperative Society. The report is expected to
be submitted within a month. Employees were allocated land for house-sites at Neknampur – 60 acres for 840 plots, Shamirpet – 100
acres for 2,000 plots, and Gachibowli – 35 acres for 580 plots. Besides, class IV staff were allocated land – 100 yards per head and 167 yards per head for higher staff. Complaints were made against the society office-bearers for allocating plots to unauthorized staff and
the enquiry is expected unearth the deals by them.
