The entire power distribution system has collapsed. The sub-stations, distribution network, poles, feeders everything were damaged by the Cyclone.
The total need of the industrial sector is 70 mega watts every day. Since this is not available many Industries stopped regular production. Mean while some Industries operated their small plants using generators to meet their commitments as per their agreement with their clients.
Pharmaceutical Industries were some of the big companies which are facing heavy losses. Aurobindo, Reddy’s, and VKT Pharma have almost no production. Likewise Nagarjuna Agriculture Chemical Limited also has stopped production due to power crisis.
