Protests again in Parliament

Indian-Parliament-House-DelhiGovernment and the Opposition stuck to their positions on the issue of resignations as the Treasury Benches did not relent a bit while the Opposition members stepped up their stir in the Parliament. Amidst protests the House continued for some time over Lalith Modi issue and the resignation of Sushma Swaraj. But the same situation continued again after the House met as the Congress insisted on the resignation of Sushma. The Speaker Sumithra Mahajan had no other option except adjourning the House for the day.

Speaker fumes at Cong

The Speaker fumed at Congress members for repeatedly blocking the transactions. She questioned them for flinging the papers when the Speaker was in Chair. She made clear that such actions will not be tolerated while violating the rules on the Floor of the House. In the Rajya Sabha also when Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tabled the GST bill Opposition members headed by Congress began protests and the Deputy Chairman Kurian adjourned the House for the day.
