Providential escape for 120 Hyd passengers

AI-Hyderabad-flight-makesAn Air India flight from Hyderabad to Mumbai made an emergency landing in Mumbai airport after smoke was detected emanating from its undercarriage.

The flight AI-620 had 120 passengers on board who were immediately evacuated by deploying chutes from the aircraft.

The prompt measures by the concerned authorities prevented a potential disaster and the plane was towed away for repairs.

Airport officials said around 7.30 a.m. when the flight was preparing to land at Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport, smoke was detected and it made an emergency landing as a precautionary step.
The tyre was also burst though officials are tight-lipped over it.
