Small businessmen or traders living solely on marriages or functions are now badly affected for four months as good dates are not there now for auspicious occasions as the Godavari pushakrams applied a brake to them.
Income on marriages is their main livelihood and this year due to another inauspicious month called mudalu their income has been in jeopardy.
From June 13, there are no good days and there is no scope for marriages or any functions, said pundits. Workers living on lighting, band, music, suppliers, decorations for events etc among others are eagerly waiting for good days in October.
From June 17, aashada masam begins and from July 14 to 25 Godavari pushkarams begin. Besides, in Shravana and Badrapada months also there are no good dates.
