Quake fear in Pak too

Cleared for public release by CDR Nick Balice Public Affairs Officer U.S. Media Chief Disaster Assistance Center  Public AffairsThe killer earth quake, which shook Nepal and India, has now spread to Pakistan also. Swath in Malakand district in Khyber province in north west of Pakistan experienced earth quake with a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter Scale. The quake with its epicentre was located on Tajakisthan borders at Hindukush mountains at a depth of 144 km. No loss of property and life was reported, officials said. In 2013, nearly 500 people died when the earth quake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter Scale was recorded.  In 2005 also 73000 people died in Pakistan due to quake with a magnitude of 7.6 on the Richter Scale.
