Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will arrive at the Shamshabad airport on May 11, at 4 pm. His tour schedule has been released by the pcc chief Uttamkumar Reddy. Rahul will meet the party leaders and workers at the airport itself. He will also meet 50 students from OU and discuss their issues for 10 minutes at the airport.
The pcc readied a road map of 15 km for Rahul’s padayatra. He will reach Nirmal in Adilabad district passing through Medak and Nizambad districts. On the way he is expected to interact with farmers’ leaders. PCC leaders planned a meeting at 8 pm facilitating leaders to meet Rahul, who will make a night halt at a Girijan thanda.
On May 12, morning at 7 am Rahul will begin his padayatra from Vadiyala village to pass through Rachapuram, Pottupally, Laxman thanda and Kotikal village. He will meet five families of farmers who committed suicide.
About 20,000 Congress leaders, party activists and farmers will follow Rahul during the padayatra. ID cards would be issued to all those accompanying the young leader, A lunch break at 2 pm in a Girijan thanda has been planned.
Congress leaders are gearing up to criticise the failures of State and Central Governments during Rahul’s tour. They are planning to inform the farmers while flaying the governments over inadequate power supply to farmers, loan waiver failure, along with restrictions on rabi crops.
Besides, they also want to highlight the KCR’s failure for not enquiring about farmers and not extending financial aid to them. They are planning to distribute pamphlets against the government’s negligence and failures.
