Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi visited the Kedarnth Temple and worshipped the presiding deity. Refusing to take a chopper, he began his journey at 6 am to Linchowli. Rahul walked 16 km from Gowrikund to reach the Kedarnath temple. He said that he was moved by the ‘power’.
The doors of the temple were opened after six months. Later, speaking to media persons, Rahul said that he would never ask the God anything. The silver lining is that he was much delighted and that he was moved by the Holy place.
He was earlier received by the Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawath and Congress leaders at the airport. A power point presentation on temple reconstruction and developmental works was made to inform Rahul.
