Railways to Run Special Trains to help Stranded People

Untitled-3South Central Railway has announced on Tuesday that it will run special trains for the stranded people who are struck in the railway stations. Several thousand of passengers have been stranded due to the damages on the railway tracks in Vijayawada division following heavy rains.

Due to damages occurred to the railway track between Regupalem and Bayyavaram stations on Vijayawada-Duvvada section forcing six passenger trains to be cancelled and two partially cancelled.

SCR has now decided to run two special trains to rush the stranded people towards their destination.

A press release by SCR informed that the Kakinada Town-Hyderabad Special train (07127) will depart Kakinada Town at 7.15 PM today while from Samlakot onwards this train will run on the path and timings of Godavari Express (train no 12727).

Rajahmundry-Tirupati Special train (07488) will depart Rajahmundry at 5.20 PM this evening with the timings, halts and composition of Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Tirumala Express (train no. 17488).
