Rajnath Singh Plans to Visit Maharashtra, After Diwali

Rajnath-SinghRajnath Singh the leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, who was to attend a crucial party meeting in Mumbai today, to discuss on leadership issue and government formation, has been deferred.

The Home Minister said “I will visit Maharashtra after Diwali”.

BJP held consultations yesterday, over government formation in Maharashtra considering various factors to decide the chief ministerial candidates in the two states. BJP’s Maharashtra president, Devendra Fadnavis, is among the party’s choice of CM.

The BJP emerged as the single-largest party in Maharashtra, winning 122 seats in the 288-member Assembly. The vote share of BJP in Maharashtra Assembly elections doubled compared to that in 2009.
