Rambha battling to save marriage

rambhaYesteryear glam doll Rambha has moved a family court in Chennai, seeking its intervention to unite her with her estranged husband under the provisions of the Hindu Marriages Act.

She has filed a petition under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriages Act, which paves the way for restitution of conjugal rights to the aggrieved partner. The case has been posted to December 3 for further proceedings.

The actor submitted that she would like to live with her husband Indran Padmanabhan whom she married in April, 2010. The couple have been living separately for some time now.

Indran Pathmanathan is a Canada-based businessman who is the founder and chairman of Magickwoods, a kitchen and bathroom manufacturing firm based in Toronto with branches in Ottawa.

After the marriage, the actress had settled in Toronto with her husband and began helping him in his business. She was the brand ambassador for Magicwoods. The couple has two daughters (5-year old Lavanya and 19-month old Sasha).

She was a popular face during the 1990s and 2000s. Language had never been a barrier to her as she had acted in all the leading Indian film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri and Hindi.

She is mainly remembered for her glamorous roles. In her career, she worked with big names of Indian films including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Vijay, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Ravichandran, Upendra, Salman Khan, Govinda and Mammootty.

Her last outing was Malayalam film “The Filmstaar” in 2011 with Dileep. Later, she had appeared in several TV shows.
