Inorder to keep pace with the trend the Maists too began wearing their uniforms made from top quality brand company – Raymond’s. Obviously tucked away in thick forests they were in way lagging behind to embrace the branded culture. Seems slightly incredible but recently the Chattisgarh police confirmed it. The police arrested a trader Pukraj Chandok recently when he was trying to deliver about 260 meter class Raymond fabrics to the Maoists, who were confined to the dense forests. Chandok was serving as their errand boy, according to Dantewada police.
Chandok is said to have supplied uniforms, shoes, essential commodities like rice and others to the Naxals in the forests. Earlier, police seized electronic gadgets, mobiles and laptops. But this is the first time that police could catch him transporting Raymond cloth.
With their valuable catch, police were now planning to elicit more information from Pukraj Chandok to get closer to certain valuable clues. It was revealed that Darby region commander in chief is believed to have placed an order to Deva fabrics for supply of the cloth and Phukraj was employed for transportation.
