Refineries to ripen fruits soon

mango-2-1_647_062815085326-300x187TS government has decided to construct refinery chambers to stop the use of carbide chemical for ripening the fruits by traders as the high court also intervened and became furious over the issue stating that those using carbide are worse than terrorists. Refineries are likely to be built in Hyderabad, Khammam and Medak with an outlay of Rs 40 crore from Horticulture department and another Rs 40 crore from Centre for ripening banana, sweet lemon, mango and pomegranate. Minister T Harish Rao will review with marketing officers on August 25, and issue guide-lines. Government warned traders and said it will take action against them if they employed carbide for ripening fruits.
