A decision on regularisation of lands measuring would be taken later since the govt not having precision over what to do if someone has a small room on such lands leaving the rest vacant.
The govt is worried about misuse the regularisation facility by building single rooms on big plots only to get it regularised, as the TS govt has decided to regularise encroached lands and vacant lands won’t be considered.
RDOs took power from the government RDOs to take a decision on lands over 500 square yards.
On regularisation of bigger plots the RDOs fear that they may land in legal troubles in future and made it clear to the govt that they will not take any responsibility lest the government gives clarity about that. , the govt has decided to put regularisation of such bigger plots on hold till a final decision is taken.
However, applications for these bigger lands will be accepted. The applications will be received from Jan 5 to Jan 19. Each applicant will have unique ids.
To declare that they are residing at the particular address, the applicants need to submit their ID proofs such as Aadhaar, ration card, driving licence, power bill, property tax, water bill, bank pass book, passport etc.
