The illegal water supply and sewerage connections in the city will be regularised, informed by the Water Board. The regional officers will take up the scheme of voluntary disclosure of illegal connections. The charges will be depends up on the area of the plot, apart from 60 days of water consumption charges. An official said, one year’s minimum water consumption charges will be levied as penalty according to the current tariff.
As per board norms, the Board will also levy Rs 500 towards Green Brigade charges and rain harvesting charges. Login to the Water Board website to enter the details of their existing connection and find out charges to be paid for regularisation. The payment should be paid through DD drawn in favour of HMWS&SB from any nationalised bank then the process will be done. The Board also simplified the process of documentation for 15 mm diameter pipe water connections. The applicants can file an affidavit (indemnity bond) on Rs 100 non-judicial stamp along with the electricity bill.
