Remain cool on exam day, exam does not mean marks alone: Modi

studentsAhead of exam season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a piece of advice : be cool,  set your targets and pursue them with free mind, without pressure. Exams are not merely about marks.

He stated that the annual budget to be presented by Arun Jaitley tomorrow will be  test for his government.

In his monthly radio programme- Mann ki baath, he chose to reach out to the student community- along with two sporting stalwarts- Vishwanathan Anand and Sachin Tendulkar, who, according to Prime Minister, have specific goals to achieve in life. “ If we change our perspective towards the concept of examinations, then it can help us in lessening the stress “ he felt. He asked students and youth ‘to compete with yourself and not others’ and added that “always have high expectations and if sometime you don’t achieve what you desire, you won’t feel so dejected”

Stating that discipline is a crucial aspect responsible for success in life, Modi said “never get into the habit of compromising yourself or the standards that you set for yourself”.

Advising the youngsters to be confident on all matters, Modi said “if your mind is at peace you will be able to find the treasure of knowledge and exams will become much easier for you. Have always found that these exams go much better than you fear before. So stay confident and all the very best. I have an exam in the form of Budget 2016 tomorrow and I am confident” he concluded.

Sachin Tendulkar calls on students to develop positive thinking before exams as it ensures positive results.

Vishwanathan Anand tells students about the importance of sleep says, ‘you need to be well rested, get a good night’s sleep, be on a full stomach and the most important thing is to stay calm.’
