Rs 13,129 cr looted in ‘14

theftThe National Crime Bureau statistics revealed that in 2014 Rs 13, 129
crore and in 2013 over Rs 21,000 crore was looted but only Rs 1,770
crore was recovered due to police inability apart from cops swallowing
a part silently. Allegations against the police mounted as they are
also incapable of employing modern technology while the criminals were
adept in going ahead with cyber-crime. Right from constables to some of the top brass citizens were being fleeced despite strict control by the government to check the crime. Lack of checks on police renders people helpless. Maharashtra tops with a loot of Rs 4,315 crore closely followed by Goa with Rs 3,048 crore, Karnataka Rs 1,038 crore, Delhi Rs 612 crore while Telugus’ undivided AP ranks fifth with a loot
of Rs 249 crore.
