Rs 183 cr for Medaram jatara

nYhsQENNearly one crore devotees are expected to visit the Medaram Jatara celebrated every two years as a tribal festival to worship the Sammakka and Sarakka Goddesses in Eturunagaram in Warangal district from February 17 to 20 next year and the government has decided to spend Rs 183 crore for organizing it on a grand-scale in the new Telangana State. Minister Chandulal after a review told officers concerned for building four check-dams across Jampanna canal for erecting bathing ghats. Orders were issued for construction of roads, toilets and other arrangements like drinking water and rest houses for convenience of devotees coming also from Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand States. The CM KCR is also expected to review the arrangements later.
