Rs 260 cr for J & K sports

unnamedMinister of State,Youth Affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal
announced a special package of Rs 200 crore for development of sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. Rs 88 crore for Bakshi Stadium, MA Stadium, synthetic athletic track, synthetic hockey turf, swimming
pool and a multi-purpose hall. Rs 52 crore will be spent to up-grade stadia in Poonch, Rajouri and 12 indoor halls. Central aid of Rs 60
crore will be provided separately to procure equipment, training of
coaches and sports competitions. Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed
appreciated the efforts of the Central Government in boosting sports
in the State. Earlier, he declared open 61st National School Games
2015.
