The bifurcation of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh took place at a time when the state was under debt of Rs. 1.70 Lakh Crore. Telangana had to share 48% of the total debt, which calculates Rs. 29,000 per citizen of Telangana. The information came out following the speech of MIM leader Owaisi’s speech in Assembly in which he claimed that the financial condition of the state is worse than the power crisis.
