Rs 470 cr for GSLV Mk III launch

unnamed (2)India’s first indigenously designed and developed high thrust Cryogenic engine designed for next generation GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle at a cost of Rs 470 crore by 2017 is at an advanced stage. Endurance test has been successfully conducted. More tests are planned under high altitude and stage configuration, prior to the realization of flight stage. Cryogenic engine will be used for powering the Cryogenic stage (C25), the upper stage of GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle of ISRO, which can put satellites in Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space Jitendra Singh informed in the Lok Sabha.
