Rs 50 Lakh Entry Tax Collects From Private Vehicles

private-vehiclesFrom midnight of Tuesday Andhra Pradesh private bus owners suspended their services. They did the same in order to protest against the decision imposed by the Telangana Government on the entry tax for all private vehicles carrying goods and passengers from Andhra Pradesh into the state. They are like to seek a stay on the tax imposed by Telangana.
Sidda Raghavarao the Transport Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday said that, the request is made to Mahender Reddy, the Telangana Transport Minister on the tax on the intra-State vehicles carrying passengers and goods be spared was not fulfilled.
Mr. Rao is still hopeful that the Telangana government would reconsider its decision, since Hyderabad would be common capital for 10 years.
There are over half-a-dozen border points existing between the two States.
Near about 50 lakhs on Tuesday night has been collected by TS Government, for the entry tax from around 150 commercial and transport vehicles. Every day from AP about 300 private travel buses enters Telangana, Rs 6000 per month needs to paid as tax.
