Rs. 65 Crore Collected Towards Fine by South Central Railway

Untitled-2The South Central Railway in its drive against illegal travelling and passing un-booked luggage has collected Rs. 65 Crore towards fine from the passengers between April and November this year, in 19.96 Lakh cases.

82,396 cases of ticket-less travel, 86,443 cases of irregular travel and 85,648 cases of un-booked luggage were detected in the month of November alone. Rs 8.65 Crore towards fine collected in November.

6.17 Lakh cases of ticket-less travelling have been detected between April and November. Similarly, 7.08 Lakh cases of irregular travel and 6.71 Lakh cases of un-booked luggage detected during these six months.

Surprise checks by the flying squads, fortress checks conducted under direct supervision of senior officials of SCR at major stations helped the SCR detect the cases to fine.
