RTC Occupancy Rate is not Declined: Transport Minister


On Wednesday P Mahender Reddy the Transport Minister claimed that there was no decline in the occupancy rate of RTC buses due to plying of buses run by private operators and lack of coordination between concerned departments in the State.

During Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, while replying to a question raised by the MLA N Bhaskar Rao and others Mr. Reddy disclosed that the occupancy rate in Hyderabad was 70.13%, while occupancy rate in Nalgonda is 69.55% in Mahbubnagar is 70.83% and in Ranga Reddy is 74.63%. Also the occupancy rate in Medak is 69.65% while in Nizamabad is 70.99 in Karimnagar is 69.34% and Khammam is 68.38% in Adilabad is 71.19% while 70.03% is the occupancy rate of Warangal.
