August 3, 2008: In Sinadevi temple in Himachal Pradesh 160 people died in a stampede and 400 were injured. The stampede occurred due to a rumour that mud sliding occurred in the mountains.
September 30, 2008: In Chamunda temple in Jodhpur 200 people died and several others were injured due to stampede.
March 4, 2010: In the 9-day Pratapgarh Navarathri festival in UP 63 devotees died when Krupalu Maharaj was distributing sarees to the poor.
January 14, 2011: In Shabarimala temple stampede in Kerala 106 devotees died and 100 received injuries.
March 27, 2011: Eight people died and 10 were injured in a stampede in Karila village in Madhya Pradesh.
November 8, 2011: As many as 22 people died in a stampede in Haridwar.
February 8, 2013: A stampede occurred when a foot over bridge crashed down killing 36 people. The incident occurred at Maha Kumbhamela in Allahabad on Mouni Amavasya day.
October 13, 2013: In Ratanghad temple in Dhatia district, Madhya Pradesh, 75 devotees including kids died and 100 were injured under a heavy stampede.
